2. Purposes and legal bases for the handling of personal data and classes of recipients

When visiting our websites, a log file is temporarily stored for each access. Personal user profiles are not created. The following data can be collected and stored until automated deletion:

  • IP address of the accessing computer
  • Date and time of access
  • Name and URL of the requested data
  • Transferred amount of data
  • Notification if the request was successful
  • Identification of the browser and operating system used
  • Referring URL
  • Name of your internet access provider

We process your personal data only if and to the extent that this processing is based on one or more of the following legal bases:

– when necessary for the performance of the contract (Art. 6 par. 1(b) GDPR). – it is necessary to protect our legitimate interests or those of third parties (Art. 6 par. 1(f) GDPR). A legitimate interest may include, in particular our interest in customer loyalty, the optimization of our web shop in line with your expectations, or the involvement of service providers in the context of contract data.

Our services are available via both our website and our app. Similar types of data are collected during their use, including:

– Operating system and browser (when using the website) or device ID and app version (when using the app),

– Referrer (for the website).

This data is processed in accordance with Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR to ensure the technical provision, security, and optimization of our platforms. Our legitimate interests lie particularly in protection against cyberattacks and in enhancing the user experience.

The handling of personal data is necessary to construct an online platform acting as a portal for delivering services between beekeepers and farmers, which allows efficient and useful networking. If you ask us to provide a service, we collect and store your personal data in principle only if it is necessary for the provision of the service and / or performance of the contract. It may be necessary to disclose your personal information to companies that we use to provide the service or fulfil the contract. These are for example, transport companies or other service-providers.
When visiting the website, each access is temporarily stored in a log file (in particular the IP address of the requesting computer, the date and time of access, the name and URL of the requested data, the referral URL, the operating system of your device, the browser you use and the name of your internet access provider). The collection and processing of this data is to facilitate the use of the website (connection establishment), ensure system security and stability on a permanent basis, allow the technical administration of the network infrastructure and optimization of the site, and for internal statistical purposes, provided that this is required to protect the legitimate interest of the controller or a third party (Art. 6 par. 1(f) GDPR). Our legitimate interest lies especially in the defence against cyber-attacks. The IP address will only be evaluated in cases of attack on our network infrastructure and for statistical purposes. 2.2 When registering for our e-mail newsletter

If you have consented to receiving our newsletter (Art. 6 par. 1(a) GDPR), we use your e-mail address to regularly send you our newsletter and other information. To register and receive the newsletter, it is sufficient to provide a valid e-mail address. To ensure that no errors have occurred when entering the email address, we use the so-called Double-Opt-In procedure: After you have entered your email address in the registration field, we will send you a confirmation link. Only after clicking this confirmation link will your email address be included in our mailing list.
At the end of the newsletter, there is a link that you can use to unsubscribe from our mailing list at any time. You can also contact us by e-mail at infosupport@beesharing.io to unsubscribe. The personal data collected by us for the purpose of sending you the newsletter will be stored until cancellation and then deleted within two weeks unless we are obliged to retain it for a longer period due to retention periods.

2.3 Requests

For questions of any kind we offer the possibility to contact us (by phone, post or e-mail), according to Art. 6 par. 1(f) GDPR. If you provide us with your personal information, this is voluntary. It may be necessary for you to provide us with certain personal information (e.g. order number) so that we can process your request. The purpose of collecting your personal information is to identify you and respond to your request. Our economic interest lies in our legitimate interests by allowing contact with customers and to handle inquiries in a simple solution-oriented way.
The personal data transmitted to us in the case of e-mail inquiries will be stored until deregistration and then deleted within 2 weeks, unless we are obliged to store it for longer due to retention periods.

2.4 Login via third-party providers (Apple and Google)

We offer the option to log in using a third-party account (Google or Apple) for both our app and website. If you choose this option, the following data will be transmitted by the respective third party and processed by us:
– Name,
– Email address,
– Profile picture (if applicable),
– A user ID created by the third party (e.g., Apple ID).

This data processing is conducted in accordance with Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for the performance of our service agreement. Please note that the respective third-party providers have their own privacy policies. You can find more information at:

2.5 Data processing for advertising purposes

The following statements refer to the processing of personal data for advertising purposes. The GDPR declares such data processing as fundamentally conceivable and as a legitimate interest according to Art. 6 par. 1(f). The duration of data storage for advertising purposes does not follow any rigid principles and is based on the question of whether the storage is required for the promotional purpose. In case of your objection, please refer to Section 5 ” Right of Withdrawal and Objection / Opt-Out Option”.
As soon as you have entered into a contract with us , we will keep you as an existing customer. In such cases, we will use your postal contact details without explicit consent in order to provide you with information about new products and services. From time to time, we will send your postal contact details to carefully selected mail order and telecommunication partners, who will be able to inform you about their products. We will use your e-mail address without explicit consent to in order to provide you with information about our own similar products. 3. Transfer of data to third parties

Data transfers between Germany (EU) and the United States (USA) are conducted to support our operational processes.
This includes ensuring technical functionality, providing services, and fulfilling legal obligations.
All cross-border data transfers comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), using safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) to ensure data security and privacy.

Your data will only be forwarded to previously carefully selected and contractually bound service providers and partner companies. In doing so, we only transfer your data to contract partners and service providers if;

– this is necessary for performance of the contract (Art. 6 par. 1(b) GDPR); The data processing is particularly necessary in order to ensure the completeness and accuracy of the data and to be able to fulfil the contract

– required in order to meet a legal obligation (Art. 6 par. 1(c) GDPR); The data processing is particularly necessary to ensure the completeness and accuracy of tax information according to the tax code,

– it is covered by your voluntarily provided consent (Art. 6 par. 1(a) GDPR)

– it is required to protect the legitimate interests of the controller or a third party (Art. 6 par. 1(f) DSGVO); a legitimate interest is in particular our customer loyalty interest.

In particular, this includes service providers for IT services, for the delivery of products or for marketing, to whom we only pass on the data required for fulfilment of the service (e.g. name, address). All personal data will of course be kept strictly confidential. Our service providers are contractually obliged by us to the strict regulations of the GDPR and may not re-use the data for any other purpose.

4. Online appearance and website optimization

To optimize our platforms, including the website and app, we use technologies such as cookies and app-specific analytics tools. These tools collect anonymized usage statistics to improve functionality and user experience (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). To make visiting our website attractive and enable certain functions (e.g. order processing), we use so-called cookies on different pages, according to (Art. 6 par.1(f) GDPR), in which we deem their usage in our interests for the optimization of our website. Some of the cookies we use are deleted immediately after the end of the browser session, i.e. after you close your browser (so-called session cookies). Other cookies remain on your device and allow us or our partner companies, to recognize your browser on your next visit (persistent cookies). If you visit our site again to take advantage of our services, it will automatically recognize that you have already been with us and what inputs and settings you have made, so you do not have to re-enter them.
Cookies do not harm your device, do not contain viruses, Trojans or other malicious software. In the cookie information is stored, resulting from a connection with the specific device used. However, this does not mean that we are immediately aware of your identity. On the one hand, the use of cookies serves to make the use of our offer more pleasant for you.
On the other hand, we use cookies in order to statistically record the use of our website and to evaluate it for the purpose of optimizing our offers and to display information tailored to your specific needs. This Privacy Policy applies to both our website and our application, which is available on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. All measures and regulations described herein apply equally to both platforms.


This Privacy Policy applies to the use of our platforms, including our websites (www.beesharing.io and www.beesharing.io) and our mobile application available on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.

We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google uses cookies. The information generated by the cookie about the usage of our website by the users are usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. Google will use this information on our behalf to evaluate the usage of our website by users, to compile reports on the activities within this online offering and to provide us with other services related to the use of this online offering and internet usage. In this case, pseudonymous usage profiles of the users may be created from the processed data.
We only use Google Analytics with activated IP anonymization. This means that the IP address of the users will be shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be sent to a Google server in the US and shortened there. The IP address submitted by the user’s browser will not be merged with other data provided by Google.

Google uses the DoubleClick DART cookie. Users may opt out of using the DART cookie by visiting the privacy policy of Google’s advertising network and content network. 5. Right of Withdrawal and Objection / Opt-out Option

As your personal data is required to create a user profile for sending personalized newsletters, revoking your consent may mean that you will no longer receive personalized newsletters or, in the case of revoking all consent of usage, you may receive no newsletter at all.
You have the right, in accordance with Art. 21 GDPR, to file an objection against the processing of your personal data which is based on a legitimate interest of us or a third party, if there are reasons for this arising from your particular situation, or an objection against mailing in general or direct mailing. In the latter case, you have a general right of objection, which will be implemented by us without specifying any particular situation.

You have the right, in accordance with Article 21 GDPR, to object to the processing of your personal data, which is based on our legitimate interest or that of a third party, provided there are reasons arising from your particular situation, or the objection is directed against general or personalized direct advertising. In the latter case, you have a general right to object, which will be implemented by us without the need to specify a particular situation.

In addition to the deactivation methods described above, you also have the option to disable preference-based advertising via a preference manager here or here.

If you do not wish to save cookies in your browser, you can also do so by adjusting the appropriate browser settings under Tools / Internet Options. 6. General duration of data storage

Your personal data will only be stored for the period required to fulfil the purpose of storage, unless we are legally obliged to retain it for longer due to legal, statutory or contractual retention periods. Once the purpose of storage has been fulfilled or ceases to exist, your personal data will be deleted or blocked. In the case of blocking, deletion will occur as soon as legal, statutory or contractual retention periods are satisfied. Only in exceptional cases, a deletion, which causes a disproportionately high expenditure due to the special nature of the storage, may be waived. If you do not enter into a contract with us, your personal data will be deleted one month after your last contact with us. Your personal data relevant to a contract, in particular tax-relevant data, will be deleted after expiry of the statutory retention periods, which is at the latest, 10 years after termination of the contract. Both our website and app are protected by technical and organizational measures to prevent unauthorized access. All personal data is transmitted in encrypted form. When using the app, we apply Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology to ensure the security of your data.

As a customer of BEEsharing, you can conduct your shopping safely and conveniently. The protection of your data and the observance of legal regulations in all processes of data processing (eg collection, processing and transmission) is of upmost priority. We use the data provided by you to fulfil and process your order. In the ordering process as well as in the BEEsharing network, all personal data transmitted over the internet is encrypted before it leaves your device (e.g. PC, laptop). We use the secure “Secure Socket Layer” (SSL) method, which is a proven and very secure data transfer method on the Internet. Your information is therefore not visible to outsiders. You can protect yourself from misuse by not sharing your password and making it inaccessible to others.
